It’s winter.

I get that.

It happens every year in Ohio and every year I welcome it with open arms.

I’m a girl who loves the snow. I watch the weather every day to see if snow is headed our way and if it is I watch the radar and get excited as it moves closer.

When it gets here, I watch out the window and get all giddy with excitement until there is enough snow on the ground to go out and enjoy.

I get super excited when there are winter storm warnings up and don’t even get me started on the blizzard warnings.

Yeah. I’m that person who is usually out walking her dogs in a blizzard or staring out the window for hours just watching the snow magic happen.

But this winter has completely sucked. We’ve only had a few good snows and tons of coldness.

For the past few weeks we’ve only had a dusting of snow on the ground and the snow is crunchy and dirty.

I can’t stand crunchy, dirty snow and I don’t like when I go outside and my nose hairs instantly freeze.

Eck and Eck.

I’m more of a 30’s or 20’s degree type of girl and I”m usually not that fed up with winter this early in the season and the fact that I am is bringing me down…………….. man.

I can feel myself bumming out more and more each day and a lot of it is due to the fact that this is the first winter that I’m home. All day.

There’s nothing pretty outside to go and take pictures of because it’s all ugly and cold……. or am I just not looking hard enough?

So to try and keep this post from being completely pathetic and whiny- I have heard from my trusted sources that Lake Erie is about 75% covered in ice. I bet that’s a site to see and it’s one that Leroy and I will be making a valiant effort to go and see in the next few days.

I’ll report back with my findings next week. And don’t worry, even though I’m a responsible adult most of the time, my Dad is going along to make sure that Leroy and I don’t get into any trouble.

So how about you? How are you feeling about this winter? What’s keeping you moving? Do you prefer snow or cold?
